Book Donations
We love receiving donated books, after all re-selling them is our main source of revenue. We’ve received some really incredible books in the past year. Thank you!
On the other hand we’ve also received a lot of books that we’ve had to toss, and as book lovers, we find this painful to do. We have a limited amount of space available for storing books, so we really can’t hang on to books that have only a small chance of being sold. Please limit your donations to clean, gently used books that haven’t been exposed to moisture. Avoid the hassle of lugging in outdated non-fiction, encyclopedias, textbooks and hardcover Reader’s Digest books.
Smaller book donations should be put in the drop-off slot to the left of the lobby book shelves. Please do not put your donations on the floor or on the bookshelves.
Boxes of books can be brought to Receiving, around the left side of the building. Contact the library prior to arriving with large donations so that someone can meet you.
Charitable donation receipts are available at the Circulation Desk.
Those looking for a place to recycle books that we can’t accept can check out the Recycling Info link at http://www.bookrescue.org.
